Sneak Peek for Tiffany

I'm not sure why it took me so long to decide on a block pattern....

...but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Block for Tiffany!

Good thing I finished this block last night because I went to the eye dr today and he dialated me.  If anything is mispelled Im sorry. 

 When I get dialated its all over for more then 4+ hours.  The screen is way too bright.  On top of that he gave me new contacts that are bifocals.  Im getting old :o( 

I hope Tiffany likes this. I used this set of templates I bought sometime in the 90s and uncovered recently.

They had suggestions for blocks. 

 Im glad I use them because they have these neat corners which eliminate cutting of little dog ears and line up the pieces nicely.  And boy did it have a lot of pieces.  Now I have to go lie down and close my eyes and I guess I wont be finishing my two Block Swap Adventure blocks until tomorrow evening so they will get sent out 1 day late.

Blocks Galore

i am getting caught up with my bee blocks.

while i was gone i got 3 more in the mail.

i need to do a count to see if i have gotten them all back.

while at camp the 1st part of March i made Tiffany's block

it went into the mail on Friday.

when i get the chance i am going to lay out my blocks to see what they all look like together.

I made one star block for Tiffany:

And then, because I was having such fun and there was plenty of extra fabric, I decided to make another.

It didn't turn out exactly as planned, but I hope she can make it work. I'll post full pictures on my blog, so Tiffany, if you want to be surprised...don't look at the post on my blog :)

This beautiful block come from Toni, The Quilting Pirate.  She said that the block pattern came from the latest Quilt Makers 100 Blocks Volume 2 and it is #155, Star Flight.  Doesn't it show off the fabric wonderfully?  Thanks, Toni!!









I am  having so much fun checking the mail every day to see if more blocks have arrived.  Each block is so very special.  They are going to make a beautiful scrappy quilt!
