Group B August Blocks

I received my lovely block from Robyn last week - thanks, Robyn!

So unless I have misplaced one or more, I have received 7 of the 11 blocks. Unfortunately, my bookkeeping is miserable, so I'm not sure I know exactly which block was sent by whom. I think the lineup is as follows:

top row, left to right: Robyn, Charlene, Linda
middle row, left to right: Lana, Toni, Melissa
bottom row: (I can't remember! I think either Jorie or Jadie, but maybe Tamera? Help!)

Please let me know if I've botched assigning credit where credit is due (and that Stamp Out Unsewing block at the bottom), and if I've not yet received your block, no worries, I'm headed out of the country until October 8, but I would like to start assembling the quilt upon my return, if you are able to get it to me by then.

Thanks everyone; I'm making this quilt for MYSELF. Finally, one for ME!

Charlene - coming and going

Charlene, I received your center square and enjoyed putting your block together. You sure made things easy for us, pre-cutting and sending block instructions - what a treat! I really like your focus fabric, too!

On the same day I received your center square, I also received my block back from you. It is wonderful! The fabrics you added, both to the block and to my stash are great. Thanks!

Another Group B Block Received

Melissa writes that with the saying she received, "Is a Nine-Patch part of a twelve step program?" she couldn't help but make a 9-patch in a Courthouse Steps block.

I like the way you think, Melissa, and I love the block. Thanks for throwing some of your own fabrics in there, too, to add interest!

To Jorie and Kate - Group B

Your blocks are on their way! I hope you like them. I didn't square them up; I usually leave that for the person receiving the block so they can square all their blocks up to the same exact size. Also, sorry for the delay - lots of travel taking me away from home this month.

Sneak peek for Kate (I accidentally wrote Katie on the envelope - hope that isn't one of your pet peeves):

Thanks for letting me play with your beautiful fabrics!

Group B, PLEASE help me!

I was trying to finish Kate's block before I head out to California to a conference, and wouldn't you know, I am two 2.5" squares SHORT of the Kona Snow fabric. Does anyone else who has not yet sent her blocks and scraps back (and preferably someone who lives in the US so it will arrive quickly) have either a 2.5" x 5" brick or two 2.5" squares they can send to me? If so, please email me at ehutchinson@wlu.edu and I'll send you my address. Thanks!

Bee Group B

Hello all bee group B members! I sent out the fabric a tad late, but most of you should be receiving it soon. I hope I sent enough, but as this was my first time (EVER) sending out fabric like this for a bee, I am a bit unsure! If anyone feels they need more, I would be happy to zip out more if necessary!

Also, to Kate, I JUST got the fabric you sent to me forwarded up here to my new address. I will be making your block today or tomorrow and have it sent out this week :)

Thanks everyone
Jorie

April's Package for Group B?

Just an FYI, I still haven't received a package for April.  Can we share the status?  Just curious more than anything.  Hope everything is ok.

Going in the mail for you today:)
I hope you like this block! As soon as I saw the fabrics you sent, it was the first one to pop into my head!

Robyn's Block for Tamera

I finally made it to the post office today so I could send off this block to Tamera. It's been waiting around for about a week while I got other packages ready to send off as well. Speaking of which, here's a sneak peek at March for Group B. These should be hitting your mailboxes in less than a week!

Sneak Peak!

So my Mom, Jadie, doesn't have a blog, so I am posting a sneak peak of her block for Linda. We had fun racking our brains on what to do with it (I know its supposed to be her making it, but we do a lot of things together!) She (and I) hope you like it Linda! (ps she mailed it out today, so you should be getting it soon!)

Melissa's Square for Linda

OK, guys! This is my first bee and I have to tell you, it took all I had to cut into that fabric! How nerve wracking! But here it is ready for Mr. Postman!
One down and my feet are wet now!

My First LBT Block!

Hello all! Jorie here, from Beautiful Chaos. I finished Linda's block today! There were a few hiccups (let's just say I calculated all my measurements right, and then cut them wrong), but I resolved them all. While the finished block isn't exactly how I planned, I still think it's great. Linda, I hope you love it too!

Here is a little sneak peek:

I hope to have it in the mail by Friday at the latest! It is SLIGHTLY larger than 12.5", but I don't have a square ruler or a cutting mat large enough to hold it all (my mat is only 12x18--so I would have to move the block and reposition it-- and I am in the process of moving, so I'm holding off on buying a larger one just yet), so I am sending it without squaring/trimming it up. I hope you don't mind, but I am worried I will mess it up if I try!

A Second Bee Group!

I am so thrilled with the amount of quilters that have shown interest in Let's Bee Together!!!  Thank you for your great response!

Since there has been this tremendous response,  I have just opened up the Bee to a second group.  This will be Bee Group B - I know, not very original but that's the best that I could come up with.  We are well on the way to having that group filled too.  If you should know of anybody that might be interested, send them over this way quickly.

I have most of the months assigned for the A group.  I'm just waiting to hear from a couple of the members for preferences.  I figure that I would give them until the beginning of the week because of the holiday.  So I hope to be sending out an email to all of the group A members by the middle of the week with all of the juicy details.

Thank you once again for the tremendous response to join Let's Bee Together!!!!
