A Second Bee Group!

I am so thrilled with the amount of quilters that have shown interest in Let's Bee Together!!!  Thank you for your great response!

Since there has been this tremendous response,  I have just opened up the Bee to a second group.  This will be Bee Group B - I know, not very original but that's the best that I could come up with.  We are well on the way to having that group filled too.  If you should know of anybody that might be interested, send them over this way quickly.

I have most of the months assigned for the A group.  I'm just waiting to hear from a couple of the members for preferences.  I figure that I would give them until the beginning of the week because of the holiday.  So I hope to be sending out an email to all of the group A members by the middle of the week with all of the juicy details.

Thank you once again for the tremendous response to join Let's Bee Together!!!!

Come Join Me

Welcome to Let's Bee Together

This is a virtual quilting bee that will begin January 2011.  I am looking for 11 people to join the group.

Let's Bee Together is open to people of all levels of experience and skill and is open to international participation.  You do not have to have a blog to join.

It is a year long commitment.  This bee is as much about giving your completed blocks to others as it is about getting a whole bundle of completed blocks.  Please take a few moments to consider your workload and time commitments on a monthly basis for the next year.  The last thing you want to feel is pressured by something (creating) that should be a lot of fun for you.

This bee will be made up of 12 people who are each assigned a separate month as their month to be the recipient of the blocks.  The bee will run then for a year, with each person taking turns making blocks for everyone else 11 months, and one month sending fabric out and receiving their own blocks back.

When it is a month you are just making a block for someone else, you get to sit back and relax while you wait for the envelope to come in the mail.  When you get the envelope of fabric, read the directions the person sent and/or posted online about what they want their blocks to be.  Sew the block and mail it back to them.

When it is a month you are sending out fabric, figure out what kind of block(s) you want everyone to make you.  Select the fabric either out of your own stash or purchase the fabric.  Print out and/or post directions/suggestions for your blocks.  Mail out your fabric to your bee members.  Wait for finished blocks to start arriving in the mail back to you!

Doesn't this sound like fun?

If you are interested in joining this group you can either leave a comment here or email me at letsbeetogether2@gmail.com .  I will contact you with further information and have some questions for you to complete.

I hope you will be joining me in Let's Bee Together.  And, please, grab the button on the sidebar and let all of your friends know about us.
